GGMS is growing and with our growth comes the need for internships. We are looking for interns in the fields of Journalism, Marketing, Promotion and Photography. All positions are unpaid but will allow you access to the entertainment industry and are great for your resume’ (and the future possibility of a paid position with the company). Potential interns are required to email a resume and include a portfolio of any of their previous work (published or unpublished). Candidates are preferred (but do not necessarily have to be) enrolled in a two or four year school while focusing on one of the said internship positions. Internships typically last throughout the school year but can extend beyond that depending on performance. The eligible candidates will assist us in managing our popular community of members, contribute ideas to grow engagement and activity, and have ample access to individuals within our Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Entertainment divisions Interns will assist in various areas including (but not limited to) News, Interviews, Album Reviews, Coverage of Events, etc. Interns may receive press passes to events for coverage via GGMS and be scheduled with phone or in-person interviews with artists, models, actors, athletes, etc. (depending on location). God Gave Me Style Marketing and Advertising Interns will assist in the development and implementation of company marketing campaigns including but not limited to print, direct mail, retail signage, outdoor, online, and email. Individuals will be relied upon to devise new marketing schemes to create visibility for the website. Interns will provide support to the Marketing Department in the planning, coordination, implementation and follow up for various marketing events, programs and initiatives. God Gave Me Style Photography Interns often coordinates the acquisition of images from vendors outside of GGMS, including wire services, stock agencies, freelance photographers, royalty free corporations, partners and various other sources. The selected persons will also be required to photograph various events. Parties, Hip Hop concerts, Fashion Shows, Models, etc.for use in daily promotional spots, photo features, photo galleries and entertainment stories. The interns must demonstrate the ability to articulate editing choices and be mature in their communications within the company. They will meet regularly with programmers, designers and other photography editors throughout and must have the ability and desire to learn new skills and work in a fast-paced team environment. |
